Overall in my opinion it does not qualify for household use, it can only be used for industrial and agricultural use. Chinese stand alone controller is good if compared to this if you are trying to achieve stand alone electric system or a home electric saving system which comes at around
this charge controller is only good if you are using it for heavy load running between 10AM to 3PM such as running motor pump for fields or using AC in shops/office at this time frame it can convert extra volt to Amp meanwhile almost 15% is lost in conversation but still it will give more amp as we have higher voltage at that time as compared to pwm
(it will not charge your battery becoz they are already charged via main grid, so if you do not use its PV current it will lead to over charging of battery and lead to damage)
but
if you are using it after 3pm or before 10AM at that time you will have low voltage and low amp so 15% energy loss will count more than the efficiency of simple PWM and that is the time when we need more current
(most all households have heavy load in the morning and evening)
Plus there is no use of its DOD percentage system, it will automatically connect main if solar amp goes below 1Amp, battery will never be used so more usage of grid power and less saving.
Fan is a little noisy but it doesn't matter
Moreover it is not compatible with Gel and AGM battery as claimed. There is no function to use charging current as compared to PWM controller
