on vidio Low Voltage Induction Motor / How to convert a 220V Motor to 12V Motor

Driveway Dudes Paul shows you how you can convert a 230VAC washer motor to operate by using just a 12VDC battery without having to modify, breakdown, dismantle or rewire it.

The rpm can be controlled by the use of a potentiometer/rheostat.

Simply by using just 3 wires as jumpers it is easily done and if you wish, by removing those 3 wires it can again be used as a 230VAC motor.

There are many old motors still about that may have stopped working and all they may require is just a good clean and new set of carbon brushes.

The applications can be whatever you want. You could increase the voltage from DC 12V to 24V, 48V, 60V, 72V, etc and in series or parallel.
