on video What is Electromagnetic Induction? | Faraday's Laws and Lenz Law

What is Electromagnetic Induction? | Faraday's Laws and Lenz Law

This interactive animation describes about the Electromagnetic Induction, Faraday's observation. It also describes about the magnitude and direction of induced e.m.f, Faraday’s Laws of Electromagnetic Induction and the Lenz’s Law.

In this video we look at what happens when a magnet falls though a coil that is attached to light emitting diodes. The change in magnetic flux in the coil induces a current that lights the LEDs. This is known as electromagnetic induction and can be described qualitatively with Lenz's Law and quantitatively with Faraday's Law.

Electromagnetic induction is demonstrated showing how Faraday's Law and Lenz's Law applies. The demonstrations include induction in a single wire and then a coil cutting through a magnetic field, between two coils on the same core. It shows how an alternator works and why the PD produces alternates.

This physics video tutorial provides a basic introduction into Lenz's law.   It explains how to determine the direction of an induced current using the principles stated by Lenz's law and using the right hand rule.   This video on electromagnetic induction contains plenty of examples and practice problems.
