 Wireless electric energy!?

• Transmit energy wirelessly? This is a dream as old as the discovery of electricity! Contrary to what one might believe, this field has not evolved much since the beginning of the 20th century, we all have in mind the fabulous experiments of Nikola Tesla. The principle, until now similar to that of the transformer, did not make it possible to transmit significant powers or to have a correct efficiency.

• REGARDING THE EFFECTS ON HEALTH: in general we cannot say that electromagnetic waves present a danger for frequencies below the visible (for low powers, a few hundred Watts at most).

Higher frequencies come from very energetic photons and needless to say, ultraviolet, X-rays or gamma rays can be very dangerous.

What about microwaves? Those used by the famous eponymous oven and by your smartphones? The danger they pose is only a consequence of the fact that they can heat water molecules. You therefore need high power to speak of danger, and this would simply come down to overheating!

What is very important to note is that we don't even use electromagnetic waves in this experiment! It is simply a magnetic field, which is known not to have the slightest influence on biological cells unlike the electric field. To go into technical details, Maxwell's equations predict that there cannot be a magnetic field without an electric field from the moment these vary, but the configuration present in this video allows us to have only a field variable magnetic, the electric field being negligible.
