HEATING AND COOLING WITH PELTIER, OUR SEARCH FOR AN ALTERNATIVE METHOD TO THE GAS CRISIS

HEATING AND COOLING WITH PELTIER, OUR SEARCH FOR AN ALTERNATIVE METHOD TO THE GAS CRISIS

Thermoelectric coolers keep the temperature of the object in equilibrium, regardless of the ambient temperature, while reducing the temperature of an object below the ambient temperature. It is an active cooling system of Peltier heat transfer elements and can be used for applications ranging from milliwatts to kilowatts.

Most thermoelectric cooling modules can pump 3 to 6 watts/cm2 per surface. These coolers are also available on the market in Peltier form, and their price varies depending on the amount of power they consume. Today, thermoelectric coolers between 45 watts and 545 watts are available at affordable prices.

When the cold part of the module reaches -40C, the heat pump is interrupted and the heat pump loses efficiency (efficiency drops to zero). This is why it is most effective between -5 and -15C. At this point, the temperature changes its highest value to DeltaT (

{\displaystyle \Delta T}) arrives.
