True or False One Way Light Type

True or False One Way Light Type

How to wire 2 way light switch, in this video we explain how two way switching works to connect a light fitting which is controlled with two light switches. We look at the EU color coding wires and explain the different ways to connect the lighting circuit.

In today's tutorial on installing simple house electrical wiring, we'll demonstrate how to connect a one- or single-way switch to regulate a light source.

Requirements:

Lamp (light bulb) x 1 No Single Way Switch (SPST = Single Pole Single Throw) x 1 No Short wires x 3 No

Procedure:

Since all the components are connected in series, this is exactly like a series circuit. Simply attach the lightbulb to the neutral wire, then through the center wire, attach the lightbulb to the switch. Then, as illustrated in the following fig, connect the live wire to the switch. The circuit behaves as an open circuit while the switch is OFF, and the bulb will not glow. The basic connection of a light switch is shown in the diagram below, along with the position of the switch. Switch S1 needs to be closed in order to close the circuit and turn on the lightbulb.
