Electric Turbo World Record - Boosting 1 Bar

Update on the Electric Turbo Challenge and additional Details and Dyno Results

Electric Turbo Boosting 0.5 Bar(7.3PSi) challenge met. The electric turbo is a direct drive design to minimize losses from belt drive (have also tested the belt drive) that causes many losses. Electric Turbo using gears will work but will need to include losses in your design.

Electric Turbo's boosting 0.5 Bar is very scary and if you have money to buy a quality compressor and compressor wheel you will do a lot better than me, I used cheap parts as my budget is my own and tiny.

Electric Turbo was running at a calculated RPM of 125 000 rpm. This is so scary and exiting at the same time, had some motor popping along the way, magnets tearing of the rotor, ESC melting, but it was all a great journey.

When you get your Electric Turbo running to 0.5 Bar and want to install it on your vehicle please remap your engine to ensure you have timing and fuel adjusted to manage the additional air pressure rushing down the vehicle intake.

Electric Turbo power gain depends on your engine size, the bigger the engine cc's the more horsepower and torque you may expect. On a 1400cc engine we gained 30 horse power and 40NM torque. On a 2.0 liter engine it will double those figures.

The cost to build this turbo will be close to 1600 USD (Year 2022) and batteries to support a power demand to achieve this boost on the Electric Turbo another 1000 USD. So for the complete build into your vehicle you are looking at 3000 USD after install and mapping.(If you and your friends do it yourselves)

The Electric Turbo does make your head hit the headrest so do not think this is a toy, it really is an enjoyable experience the first time your Electric Turbo spins to 125 000 RPM and you vehicle jumps forward with new live due to the 0.5 Bar boost down it's intake manifold.

The Electric Turbo installation will replace your current airbox so you can put it safely somewhere to re-install when selling your vehicle. It is your turbo for life and no hard and costly modifications are needed to install this Electric Turbo.

The Electric Turbo power is available with no "lag" as you will get from a conventional Turbo. There are pros and cons for both Turbo's. If you are running big turbo's with a lot of lag the Electric Turbo will help you. We tried and tested the improvements on several turbo vehicles.

My conclusion on the Electric Turbo after being told it is not possible... is it is possible! It works very very well. We installed the Electric Turbo on several Vehicle's ranging from 1000cc to 4200cc and they all delivered to my expectations. You will need two Electric Turbos on high cc engines.

Now, don't be scared, take the journey, build your own Electric Turbo and prove all the experts wrong! Have fun!
