 DIY Upgrade Speed Brushless DC FAN

We show you how to control a 5V, 200mA DC computer fan with an N-Channel MOSFET and an Arduino Uno Rev3. The N-Channel MOSFET is used since the Uno can only source up to 40mA on a single output pin and the fan requires 200mA.

Here we are attaching a variable speed control to a 12V, 24W dc pedestal fan. First I thought of using a PWM speed controller but it has humming sound at low speeds. So I had implemented it with linear voltage regulator.

All my projects are free, I design them on EAGLE 6.0. I uploaded it to Google drive. You need to use a web browser to download the file and open the file with winrar software (extract) on the PC. Open schematic file (.SCH) and PCB file (.BRD) with EAGLE software.

Hi Guys, In this video, I will show you how to make a simple brushless motor in an easy way. I used 0.3mm Enameled copper wire, Cylinderical neodymium magnet and Hall effect sensor. I hope you like this video.
