Hi. Today I'll show you how to make a Dual Rail Switch Mode Power Supply for an Audio power Amplifier based on the TL494 PWM IC. The circuit works well from 12 to 18 volts, and the wattage is above 500Watts if you use the IRF1404 or the IRF3205 Power MOSFETs.

It takes an input of 10-15V and can deliver an adjustable output voltage from 2-50V DC at a maximum wattage of about 300 Watts. It's built around the TL494 PWM IC and has over current and short circuit protection by means of current limiting.
