on video 3-way speaker crossover

 3-way speaker crossover

This video shows you how to make a hifi speaker crossover based on high quality capacitors, especially a 3-way crossover for: woofer, midrange and tweeter.

Finally a new episode! I took a lot of time to redo the studio, and try to create a new format which didn't give me satisfaction, unfortunately. So that will be for later. To make up for the very long delay since the previous episode, this one will be in two parts, and the second will be published in about a week ;)

This time, we're getting a little more into the hard stuff on the hardware side, by tackling the criteria for choosing a pair of speakers. There are a number of criteria to consider, and in this two-part episode, I will present the two that seem to me to be the most important: typology (number of channels) and format (library or columns).

Of course, I will not be able to be exhaustive in these two short videos, and certain options have been deliberately left aside, because they are too rare in particular (I am thinking of active filtering) or too far from the subject (active speakers). But that leaves us with topics to cover later ;)
