Star Delta starter control circuit -Star delta complat wiring- working principle-star delta explained

How to wire 4 way light switch and intermediate switch, in this video we explain how four way intermediate switching works to connect a light fitting which is controlled with three or more light switches. We look at the EU color coding wires and explain the different ways to connect the lighting circuit.

In this last part, we discuss the control circuit for star delta starting of asynchronous motors. This type of starting is today increasingly abandoned in favor of soft starters and variable speed drives. These will be the subject of a future video.

The star-delta starting mode allows you to start a motor by limiting the current draw. The start is gradual and timed.

This process can only be applied to motors for which all the winding ends are output on the terminal board and whose delta coupling corresponds to the network voltage, i.e.:

- for a 230 V network between 230/400 V motor phases

- for a 400 V network between 400/690 V motor phases

To reverse the direction of rotation of the motor, simply reverse 2 of the 3 power wires

Presentation of the diagram of a direct start with two directions of rotation of a three-phase asynchronous motor.

The interactive animation of the starting diagram with two directions of motor running can be used at the following address
