on video ats single phase wiring diagram|ats to generator connection

This video shows Single Phase ATS Connection Building. An automatic transfer switch (ATS) is a device that automatically transfers a power supply from its primary source to a backup source when it senses a failure or outage in the primary source. The principal purpose of an ATS is to ensure the continuous delivery of electrical power from one of two power sources to a connected load circuit (electrical equipment – lights, motors, computers, etc.)

In this video, I have explained about the fully automatic transfer switch (ATS) for single phase system.

A transfer switch (ATS) is an electrical switch that switches a load between two sources. An Automatic Transfer Switch is often installed where a backup generator is located, so that the generator may provide temporary electrical power if the utility source fails.

When utility power is interrupted, the automatic transfer switch immediately senses the problem and signals the generator to start. Afterward, it detects when the utility power is returned, the automatic transfer switch retransfers to the utility power and turns off the generator.
