In this video we will show the assembly of a two-phase distribution board with grounding type TT, connecting the SPD, DR and circuit breakers.
This connection is in accordance with figure 13 of NBR-5410, connection 3. Where the phase SPD output is connected to the neutral and then goes to the neutral SPD and that only the neutral SPD output is connected directly to ground , item 6.3.5.2.6 which indicates this type of connection.
6.3.5.2.6 Protection against electric shock and compatibility between SPD and DR devices
b) when the SPD are installed, as indicated in 6.3.5.2.1, next to the point of entry of the electrical line into the building or at the main distribution board, as close as possible to the point of entry, and the installation is provided with a one or more DR devices, the SPD can be positioned upstream or downstream of the DR device(s), subject to the following conditions:
When the installation is TT and the SPD are positioned upstream of the DR device(s), the SPD must be connected according to diagram 3 (see figure 13);
