I have shown how to make wireless IR Remote Control ON OFF Switch using 4017 IC & Relay. You can also use the push button to control the AC load manually. So you can make IR controlled power outlet with the manual switch.
During the tutorial video, I have shared the complete 4017 ic project circuit diagram, so after watching the video, you can easily make this simple IR switch for home appliances.
Required components for the infrared remote switch
1. 100uF DC capacitors 2no
2. 0.1 uF Capacitor
3. 220-ohm resistors 3 no
4. 10k resistor
5. 270k resistor
6. BC557 PNP Transistor
7. BC547 NPN Transistor
8. CD4017 IC
9. TSOP 1738 IR Receiver
10. 1N4007 Diode
11. 5-volt SPDT Relay
12. Push Button
13. 5 volt DC source.
If you use any PWM or SMPS power supply, then use a 1000uF 25V DC capacitor across the input terminals. Here I have used an LM317 power supply.
