on video Control stepper motor with Arduino | Closed loop CNC control with CNC Shield and Arduino

The Leadshine MX4660 is a 4-axis stepper motor drive with an integrated breakout board and I/O. It has been specifically designed to provide a simple and fast implementation for full control of four frame size 17, 23, 24 or 34 to allow. By entering step and direction commands, the MX4660 can be easily controlled by motion controllers, programmable logic controllers and CNC software. This makes them ideal for many applications for easy, fast and inexpensive implementation. By using Leadshine's advanced stepper motor control technology, stepper motors can be operated with high precision, very smooth running and extra low motor heating. The MX4660 also features anti-resonance, multi-stepping, vibration suppression, input command smoothing, 50% idle current reduction, etc. With an input voltage of 20-60VDC and an output current of up to 6.0A, the MX4660 can drive 4 two-phase NEMA 17 to 34 stepper motors with full power and high reliability. The MX4660 is easy to configure. Four 6-pin DIP switches (one for each axis) allow the user to set eight available current settings and eight different microstepping settings, ranging from 1.45 - 6.0A and full step - 1/64 step. Each axis can have its own current and microstepping configuration, thus meeting different needs of the controlled stepper motors. The Leadshine MX4660 has an emergency stop input, an analog input (0-10 VDC), an error output, 8 general purpose digital inputs and 6 general purpose digital outputs. This enables quick and easy connections such as emergency stops, limit switches, frequency converters, etc. to save space and time for installation, minimize wiring, increase system reliability and reduce costs. The MX4660 also allows for 2 additional axis control expansion through the 4 high speed general purpose digital outputs (200kHz), ideal for controlling a 5th and 6th axis. Additional stepper motor drivers are required for this. The MX4660 is modular and has 4 individual stepper drive modules. If one of the drive boards fails, the user can replace it with an SDM660 stepper drive module with minimal effort.
