on video Checking the turbine flowmeter

 Principle of operation

A turbine flow meter for liquids is used to measure flow or total volumetric flow, and its working principle is relatively simple. As the liquid flows through the flowmeter, it comes into contact with the turbine blades which rotate around the central axis of the turbine body. The angular (rotational) speed of the turbine rotor is directly proportional to the speed of the liquid passing through the turbine. The resulting output is measured by an electrical sensor mounted on the meter body.

Principle of operation of the turbine flow meter

Easy to operate and maintain, turbine flow meters are used worldwide for their reliability, cost-effectiveness and accurate flow measurement. Designed to maximize production and minimize pressure drop, the flowmeters maintain high flow rates over a wide range and offer linear pulse output at flow. Turbine meters also reduce the uncertainty of transactional metering measurements with a high frequency pulse output.
