on video How to determine the slope of a staircase? (corrected exercise)

The backbone of the house, the staircase is used several times a day. It must therefore be well sized to offer impeccable and safe comfort of use. A step that is too high will not be pleasant when going up and down.

Whatever its shape, a comfortable staircase must respect a formula well known to architects: 60 cm

Explanation: the sum of two step heights (2h) and the tread (g) must be between 60 and 65 cm.

According to the architect François Blondel (1618-1686), 2h + g = 63 cm is the best ratio for climbing stairs using the least amount of energy.
