on video Understanding Hill Start Assist

Hill-Assist is a mechanism in vehicles that holds the brake until the clutch reaches its friction point, making it easier to drive uphill from a standstill. This mechanism works in both manual and automatic gearboxes.

In this video, I talk to you about hill start assist. It is an option that is available on many modern cars with manual transmissions, and basically prevents the car from rolling back when it is on a hill. Anyone that knows how to drive a manual car will tell you that hill starts were definitely the hardest to master (and the scariest part of learning to drive a stick shift)!
