what is submersible pump
A submersible pump also called an electric submersible pump. it is a pump that can be fully submerged in water. the motor is hermetically sealed and closed coupled to the body of the pump water pressure pushes. the water into a submersible pump thus saving a lot of the pump`s energy.

Advantages and disadvantages of submersible pumps
A submersible pump offers several major advantages over other types of pumps:

Prism: They don't have to be prepared. It is self-priming because it operates below the surface of the fluid being pumped.

Cavitation: Since they are fully submerged, submersible pumps are not prone to cavitation. This can be a problem with centrifugal pumps and other types of positive displacement pumps.

Efficiency: When the pump is submerged in water, there is positive liquid pressure at the pump inlet. This condition can increase efficiency due to the lower energy required to move the fluid through the fluid path in the pump.

Noise: Being submerged, these pumps are very quiet in most applications.

There are also some disadvantages that must be dealt with:

Accessibility: Submersible pumps are often not easily accessible for routine inspection or maintenance, especially in deep well applications. This makes preventative maintenance difficult and in many applications pumps are left running until they fail and need to be replaced.

Corrosion: Prolonged exposure to liquid of any kind will cause corrosion. Submersible pumps are often used to handle corrosive and abrasive fluids. Seals are particularly susceptible to wear, which leads to leaks and engine damage. To counteract corrosion, these pumps must be made of corrosion-resistant materials, which can make them more expensive than other types of pumps of the same capacity.
