ON VIDEO 3 Phase motor with contactor-overload and switch control , Wiring Diagram

3 Phase motor with contactor-overload and switch control , Wiring Diagram

A typical scheme for connecting a three-phase electric motor consists of the motor itself, magnetic start and overcurrent protection (automatic circuit breaker).

The connection schemes can be different, depending on the magnetic starter, specifically on the operating voltage of its coil K-220 V or 380 V, on the presence of a thermal relay that is connected in series with the starter coil.

Exceeding the current consumed by the electric motor causes the contacts of the thermal relay to open, which causes the coil to be de-energized and the motor to be disconnected

How to connection 3 Phase motor with contactor-overload and switch control ?
This video shows this connection .

Contactor :  it’s an electrically-controlled switch used foe switching an electrical power circuit.

A contactor is typically controlled by a circuit witch has a mush lower power level than the switched circuit, such as a 24-volt coil electromagnet
controlling a coil electromagnet controlling a 230-volt motor switch.
Overload :  an overload relay is an electrical device used to protect an electrical motor from overheating.

So it is essential to have sufficient motor protection.
