EN VIDEO Main Energy metre to sub energy metre connection

Main Energy metre to sub energy metre connection

The installation of an electric sub-meter allows to control part of the electricity consumption of a main meter. The sub-meter must be suitable for the installation, meet certain standards and be installed in good conditions to ensure user safety.

Why install an electric sub-meter?
An electric sub-meter, also called a division meter or deductor, is an installation for monitoring the consumption of part of the electricity supplied by the main meter. The sub-meter can be used in a condominium where several dwellings are connected to the same meter or when an owner wishes to know the electricity consumption of his tenant. It is also possible to install a sub-meter to control and optimize the consumption of certain circuits in the home (heating or lighting for example). The electricity sub-meter displays the electricity consumption in kWh and generally provides access to information such as the tariff per kWh or voltage.
